PRT 352- “Princesses of Hope 5: Getaway”

I was not at all happy about Hunter hovering over me as I worked, but in the interest of saving MJ I tried my damnedest to ignore him…which wasn’t easy…especially with the medieval quintet freaking out over every little thing.
“What is this?” Adam asked as he started pushing buttons on the microwave.
“It cooks food. Now stop touching things.” I said.
“He’s right. We need to let him do whatever he is doing to find the girls.” Eric said.
Charming nodded, “Right. I have to find Cindy before it’s too late.”
“And my precious Snow is probably terrified.” Ferdinand said.
“I’m sure all the girls are scared. We’ll find them soon, right RJ?” Philip asked.
“I’m trying.” I said.
“
“Really? You think so? Then go bug him!” I cried, “Oh wait, you can’t. He’s your ex too….why don’t you just go back to your current girlfriend. You know, the one that isn’t your ex.”
“I told you, I’m helping save Michelle.” Hunter said.
“Whoa, you dated a him?” Eric asked.
“Yeah, ex boyfriend. Long story.”
The past princes all looked at each other.
“Don’t even try to wrap your minds around it. Just don’t even try.” Alex said.
“What’s taking so long?” Hunter asked.
“Will you back off? My search is crossing with someone else trying to track the same power signature.” I said.
“OK, so someone else is searching for Michelle?”
“Right.”
“Can you block their signal or something?”
“Hunter, you know nothing about this, shut up.”
“Would you just find her already?”
“I’m working on it!”
“You realize fighting isn’t helping anything, right?” Alex asked.
“Which of you is Princess Michelle’s prince anyway?” Charming asked.
“I am!” Hunter and I said at the same time, “No, I am…no, I am…”
“Princess Michelle has two princes. That isn’t how it’s supposed to go.” Philip said.
“I am her husband.” I said.
“I’m the love of her life.” Hunter said.
“That now has a new girlfriend.”
“That doesn’t mean Michelle and I don’t still have feelings for each other. Has she released any songs about you? Don’t think so.”
“She hasn’t released an album since we got together you idiot.”
“Will you two please stop it? This isn’t doing us any good.” Alex said as my computer beeped.
“RJ, we got something.” Amy said.
“You found her?” I asked
“Yes, she’s somewhere in
“OK, then we’re going to
“Let’s go.” Hunter said.
“Not you.”
“Yes, me. You have a team of civilians, you’ll need another Ranger.”
“You’re not a Ranger.”
“Actually, I am. Crimson Thunder Morpher is online and ready to go.”
I sighed, “Fine, let’s go.”

I didn’t know where I was going exactly, but I knew I had to find Michelle. I had Alpha trying to run a scan on her Amethyst and while we’d gotten it to a 50 mile radius, that was still a lot of ground to cover.
You might wonder why I’m chasing down Michelle after the way I’d turned my back on her. Well that was exactly why I was trying to find her. I was wrong. Extremely wrong. I never should have abandoned her when she needed me before. I never should have listened to Mina. Michelle and I had so much history and emotion between us that Mina just doesn’t get. She didn’t know what she was asking me to do. I’ve always been there for Mich. Ever since we met we’d had a connection…even when she was dating Hunter or whoever else we had a connection she didn’t have to anyone else. Whenever her life got too challenging it was me she would turn to. And I’d just turned on her…I was a horrible friend.
I was lost in thought when my communicator beeped.
“Alpha?”
“Rocky, I’ve located Michelle.”
“Where is she?”
“She’s being held somewhere in
“Thanks Alpha…you’re the best.”
I headed towards the
“Hello?”
“Rocky, you answered…good. Where are you?” Adam asked.
“Looking for Michelle.”
“No kidding. Where? You’re going to get yourself killed. Let me come help.”
“No. Sorry Adam. I’m flying solo on this one.” I hung up.
I needed to get to Michelle before it was too late.

“We need to get out of here.
“We’ll figure out a way…” I said.
“Could your power stones get us out?” Ariel asked.
“Maybe, but it could also kill us.”
“We’d be using them against a magic of unknown strength. If it drains too much of the energy we’d die.” Mandy added.
I nodded in agreement.
“OK, so what if Nemesis thought one of you were dying? She’s come in and try to get the stone before the power was lost, right?” Belle asked.
“Yeah.” I said.
“And when she came in we could jump her.” Jasmine added.
“I see where you’re going with this…it could work.”
“It would need to be Serena. If anything happens to one of us she’d just get the Amethyst from one of the others.” Astrid said.
“That’s a good point. We need to figure out what we’re going to do when she comes in. We only have one shot at this.” I said.
“And we’ll need everyone’s help. Snow, do you think you can pull yourself together and help us?” Mandy asked.
“I…I don’t know. I thought Ferdinand would have found a way to save me by now.” Snow said softly.
“Oh my god, grow some balls girl.”
Astrid laugh, “I like your style Mandy.”
“Be nice you guys, obviously Snow has never had to protect herself.” Serena said.
“Well she does now.” I said.
“Snow, it’ll be ok…but we have to do this if you have a chance at seeing Ferdinand again.” Cinderella said.
“I’m not sure if I can Cindy. I’m so scared.” Snow replied.
“We all have to step up Snow. It’s obvious that our princes
can’t save us from this one so if we want to get out of here we have to do it
ourselves.”
“We’re all in this with you Snow. You’ll be fine. You can be brave, you just have to believe in yourself.” Belle said.
“We believe in you.” Ariel said.
“OK…I’ll try.” Snow said.
“Good, now, we need a plan. Serena, can you fake dying with being too over the top?” I asked.
“What? Of course. Are you implying I’m a drama queen?” Serena asked, mock hurt.
“No, of course not. I’m flat out calling you a drama queen.”
“Well you’re one to talk.”
“I’m not Raye, don’t start with me. Can you make it look real?”
“Of course.”
“OK, now, everyone else, we need a plan, listen up.”

“OK, Amy just called us. She tracked them down to
“Good, is she meeting us?” Lita asked.
“No. She said Hunter showed up and he and RJ have been going at it. She’s staying with the guys to make sure they don’t kill each other.”
I sighed, “This is so not the time for their cock fight.”
“What is Hunter even doing? I thought he was all about Ronny now.” Michele said.
“This is a good thing. Maybe Michelle and Hunter will finally get back together fulfill the prophesy.” Amara said.
“Prophesy? What are you talking about Amara?” I asked.
“Nothing. It’s something Amara believes and she hasn’t accepted people don’t live and die by what some prophesy says. And this isn’t the time for that anyway. We have to get to that mountain range.” Michele said.
I nodded, “Let’s do it.”
“Wait a second.
“No. Amy said the mountains were interfering with the trace. We were lucky to find what we did…but with two groups of us surely we’ll find her.” Raye said.
“Three if you count Rocky and Adam.” I sighed.
“Did Adam ever find Rocky?”
“I don’t know, I hope so…but we can’t worry about that now. Let’s go.”
We transformed and headed out to the mountains.
“OK, keep your guard up Sailors. It’s a snitch that if we get too close Nemesis will be waiting.” I said.
“Sailor Venus, I think maybe we should split up.” Uranus said.
“No way. Your team is down to just you and Neptune. You two need to stay with us.”
“She’s right Uranus, without Pluto and Saturn we need to
stay with the Inners.”
“Fine.” Uranus mumbled.
“Good, now since we’re in agreement, lets get up that mountain.” I said.

We got to
“Let me scan for any hollowness in the structure.” Amy said.
“If there is an opening it could be anywhere. The base stretches for miles.” Hunter said.
“Yeah, but there can’t be too many hollow areas in the base or the whole mountain would collapse.” Alex said.
“Hurry up. I have to get to
“I’m working as fast as I can.” Amy said.
“Besides, just because there can’t be too many openings at
the base doesn’t mean there isn’t more than one.”
“What are those?” Eric asked, pointing to these creatures coming at us.
“Those would be Nemites. Evidently Nemesis knows we’re here.” Amy said.
“Keep scanning Amy, we’ll handle this.” I said.
“Ready?” Hunter and I asked together.
“I’m leading this team.” I said.
“I’m wearing the Red suit.” Hunter said.
“Actually it’s Crimson. I’m Red. Now will you both shut up?” Alex asked.
“Fine.” We mumbled.
“Ready?” Alex asked.
“Ready.” Hunter and I replied.
“Time for Time Force!”
“Jungle Beast, Spirits Unleashed!”
“Ninja Storm, Ranger Form!”
“Lame.”
“Whoa…what just happened?” Aladdin asked.
“We’re superheroes. Now, these guys wanna play, it’s on.” Hunter said as we started to fight.
“Come on, we can still help them.” Philip said as he drew his sword and the princes came to assist.
I was focusing on trying to keep the Nemites away from Amy…but there were too many.
“Fine, if that’s how you wanna do it, I’ll play. Mercury Spirit Power!” Amy called as she transformed. “Now, where were we? Right. Shiny Aqua Illusion!”
The bubbly fog clouded the view of the Nemites and we took advantage of this and finished them off.
“Nice work you guys. Power down.” I said.
“Those suits are pretty cool.” Eric said.
“Yeah, although Violet is a chick color.” Hunter said.
I looked at him, “I’m sorry…this is coming from the wannabe Red Ranger…Crimson…seriously?”
Hunter looked at me, “Well Michelle seemed to like the color.”
“Leave MJ out of this.”
“Oh get over it. Her name is Michelle…got that? Mi-shell. There isn’t even a ‘J’ in her name you retard.”
“Michelle James you idiot. She’s my wife.”
“Yeah, and she’s using your name everywhere.”
“Her stage name is still Morris, but even in interviews she’s introducing herself as Michelle Morris-James. My wife is quite happy thanks.”
“You’re not her husband. You’re a drunkened mistake she made.”
“What’s wrong Hunter? Bitter because you couldn’t keep her? She doesn’t want you.”
“RJ, what’s gotten into you?” Amy asked as she pulled me back. I was getting a little too close to Hunter I guess.
“I knew that whole Zen master thing was just a scam.” Hunter said.
“Oh, I’m perfectly Zen. I just don’t appreciate you coming around and pretending to give a shit about MJ when you’ve done nothing but treat her like crap.” I said.
“Guys, enough. Seriously.” Alex said.
“We have to find that opening, remember?” Adam asked.
“Right, of course.” I said as we continued on.
Amy sighed, “This way you guys. Come on.”

“Ok, so everyone knows the plan, right?” I asked.
“Right.” Jasmine said.
“You sure you can do this Snow?” Astrid asked.
“Yeah, I think so.” Snow replied.
“OK, then let’s do this.” Mandy said.
“You’re on Serena.” I said.
Serena nodded. She laid on the ground, “Oh…oh…” she coughed.
“Serena? What’s wrong?” Astrid asked.
“Serena? Are you ok?” I asked.
“I don’t think she is. Her pulse is barely there.” Ariel said.
“No! Serena! Nemesis, get over here now!” I screamed.
“What do you want now?” Nemesis asked as she appeared.
“Serena is dying. You have to let us get her to the hospital.”
“What’s wrong with her?” I asked.
“We’re not sure.” Mandy said.
“Her pulse is very weak. She’s going to die if she doesn’t get help Nemesis.” Belle said.
“No…if that brat dies then the Silver Crystal will be lost forever.” Nemesis said.
“Then help us!” I screamed.

“Give me the
“Now!” Astrid cried as we jumped Nemesis. Belle and Jasmine
grabbed her arms while
“You bitches just made a fatal mistake tricking me.” Nemesis said as she struggled to get free.
“Snow, help me. She’s pulling away.” Ariel called.
“Snow, get her!”
“Forget the power. I’ll get it another way. I’ve had it with you bitches. You’re all going to die.” Nemesis said as she shook off the rest of the girls, threw up a force field to block the lightning, and blast the rest of us into the wall. She aimed at us and I knew she was going to send an energy ball at us big enough to fry us.
Mandy threw her hands up, “Why aren’t you freezing?”
“My force field protects me from all attacks. Even your pathetic time freeze.” Nemesis said, “Now, say goodnight Mandy.”
I was pretty sure this was it when Nemesis suddenly fell forward, knocking out her hold on the force field.
Mandy threw her hands up again, this time Nemesis froze, “Who’s pathetic now?”
I looked up to see who saved us. I expected to see RJ or the Sailors. Instead I saw, “Rocky?!” I cried.
“
“Oh my god, it is so good to see you.” I said as I ran to his arms and hugged him.
“Is this your prince?”
I smiled, “Sometimes I think he might be.”
“She won’t stay frozen forever, we have to get out of here.” Mandy said.
“That will be easier said than done. I found you guys by chance. This place is a maze.” Rocky said.
“Well let’s just get moving before she un-freezes.” Astrid said.
“Good plan.” I said as we all headed off.
“What the hell happened to you back there Snow?” Astrid asked as we looked for the exit.
“I’m so sorry. I was just so scared that I couldn’t move.” Snow said.
“You have got to be one of the most feeble women I’ve ever met.” Mandy said.
“I’m sorry, I’ve just never faced anything so scary.”
“It’s ok. It all worked out.” Belle said, as she put an arm around Snow.
“It almost didn’t. Snow almost got us all killed.” Jasmine said.
“It’s ok. We’ll get out of here and then we’ll all get to go
back to our own times.”
“I can’t wait for that. I don’t think I’ve ever missed home so much in my life.” Cinderella said.
“And where exactly were you when we were trying to take down Nemesis?” Mandy asked.
“I was trying to grab Nemesis too. She knocked me off first.” Cinderella said.
“She was. I saw her.”
“Hmm, I must have missed that.” I said.
“Doesn’t matter anymore. We’re finally out of there.” Serena said.
“Thanks to Rocky. But Rock, why on Earth did you come by yourself?” I asked
“I needed to find you. I feel like I wasn’t there for you last time you needed me so I wanted to be there for you this time.” He said.
“Oh Rock…I know why you backed off before. You thought you were doing what was best.” I said as I took his hand.
“I was doing what Mina said was best. Not what I thought was best.”
“What? What does Mina have to do with this?”
“She’s the one that told me to stay away from you.”
“What?! Where does she get off telling my friends to stay away from me?!”
“Calm down
“Oh I bet she does. That’s it! I’ve totally had it with Mina trying to control my life! If we ever get out of this mountain I am so telling that girl off.” I said.
“It’ll be ok
I smiled and kissed his cheek, “I love you Rock, you know that?”
