PRT 370- “The Search for Diamond”
This wasn’t good. This really
wasn’t good.
“Kaya,
why are we just finding out about this?” I asked.
“I’m sorry Mia. I wish I would
have known sooner.” Kaya sighed as she climbed on my
shoulder.
“This changes everything.”
“This changes nothing. We’ll just
have to rectify the situation and get back on track.”
“Easy for you to
say! You’re not the one that has to do
it.”
“You can do this Mia. I have faith
in you.”
This really sucked.
For starters I’d only recently
found out about the Black Moon Clan and, more specifically, their ties to the
future Nemesis. The fact my bloodline was lost and this Diamond took over in
the future was bad enough…but after some research I traced Diamond and
Sapphire’s bloodline to a group of Nemesis rebels. Yes, even my planet had
them. This meant if I lost to the other Sailors then the rebels would overtake
my planet…and the future told me this was so. This was worrisome in and of
itself. To make matters worse I’d recently received indication that, somehow,
Diamond was alive.
It was thought Diamond had been
killed trying to save Sailor Moon. He had unrequited love for her or something.
Whatever the case, he somehow survived and my intelligence told me he was in
this time. If that was true that meant 2 things.
1)
Being a rebel, he would want to overthrow me.
2)
He was on the side of Sailor Moon, which would
make him more dangerous to me.
“Kaye, you don’t understand…if
Diamond is back that just made things way more uneven. He isn’t the only rebel
in this time. Those cross sisters are still out there somewhere too! If Diamond
recruits them…we’re done for.” I sighed.
“Mia, calm down. We still have the
upper hand. The Sailors have no idea who you are. This is an advantage.” Kaya said.
“If Diamond finds them he’ll tell
them. He knows.”
“So we just have to find Diamond
first and kill him. He can’t cause us any trouble if he’s dead.”
“He’s not powerless you know.”
“I know, but you’re also more
powerful than he is. You can hold an army of Sailors at bay. You can certainly
kill Diamond.”
“Well, that’s true. Ok. How do we
find him?”
“I’m working on that. Just be patient. In the meantime I did find out something
interesting about the Black Moon Clan.”
“What’s that?”
“They converted an adversary into
an unlikely ally.”
“Oh?”
“In the future Serena and
“Ok, this is interesting why?”
“Do you seriously think the
Sailors will be able to kill their own future children? They have a hard enough
time fighting Mistress 9.”
“What are you suggesting Kaya? I go to the future and take Rini?”
“Not just Rini, one of Michelle’s future daughters as well. Serena and Michelle will never allow the others to fight
them and this will buy us the time we need to track down and kill Diamond.”
“Kaya, I
like the way you think.” I said.
“Thanks. I did some research.
You’re looking for Rini Shields and Harley DeSantos-Bradley. Go to the future and bring them back
here. We’ll brainwash them and then nothing will stop us.”
I smiled, “I’m on it.”
I used the Tear of Time to go into
the future, the year 2036 to be exact. I used the information provided by Kaya and went to Reefside. That’s
where I’d find Harley. Unfortunately I needed an address, and that I didn’t
have. I decided there was one way to pull a Sailor/Ranger out and that was to
cause trouble.
“Nemesis Spirit
Power!”
I started randomly blasting and
sure enough, I was hit from behind by a Fire Ball. I turned around.
“What do we have here?” I asked.
“I don’t know who you think you
are, but you’re not welcome here.” One of the women said.
“Let me guess. Sailor
Mars?” I asked.
“Sailor Neo Mars,
and you are?”
“Not interested in you. Where’s
Sailor Mini Moon?”
“Sailor Mini
Moon? She hasn’t been that since she
was a kid. You mean Sailor Neo Moon.” Sailor Neo Venus (I presume) said.
“Yeah, whatever. OK, you’re Neo Soldiers. Fine. Makes sense. Give me Sailor Neo Moon and Sailor Neo Saturn
and I’ll be on my way…or Purple Ranger. Harley. Whoever she
is.” I said.
“How do you know Harley is Sailor
Neo Saturn or the Purple Ranger. Who are you?” Sailor
Neo Jupiter demanded.
“Does it really matter, you’re
going down!” Sailor Neo Moon cried as she sprung into battle and tried to
attack me. I blocked her attack and fought back, “Nemesis Dark Blast!”
“Nemesis? Sailor Nemesis? No…way.” Sailor Neo Venus said.
“Who is Sailor Nemesis Kimber?” Sailor Neo Jupiter asked.
“My mom told me about her. She’s
supposed to be dead.”
“So another enemy that was after
our parents is now after us. Big shock.” Sailor Neo
Moon said.
“So what is this, resurrection or
time travel?” Sailor Neo Mars asked.
“Time travel.” I replied.
“And you got through Princess
Jennifer how?”
“Jennifer? Oh, let me guess,
Sailor Neo Pluto?”
Neo Mars nodded.
“Don’t need the Time Gates. I have
the Tear of Time.”
“That’s a myth.” Sailor Neo
Mercury piped in.
“No, it’s mine.” I replied.
“Why are you guys talking? Get to
fighting! Saturn Electro Blast!” Sailor Neo Saturn
said as she joined the fight with Neo Uranus and Neo Neptune.
“Good, just the Sailor I hoped
for. Harley, Rini, come with me and I’ll leave your
friends alone.” I said.
“Is this girl serious?” Neo
Neptune asked.
“Yeah,
unfortunately. This is Sailor Nemesis.”
Neo Venus said.
“Nemesis? No way…” Neo Saturn said.
“Enough. Nemesis Darkness STRIKE”
I cried. This attack was basically a blanket of darkness. It didn’t do much
damage, but it provided me with enough of a distraction to grab on to Harley
and Rini and use the Tear of Time to go back to 2009.
We arrived back at my apartment,
all de-transformed.
“Where are we?” Harley asked.
“Let us go.” Rini
demanded.
“Not a chance kid.” I said.
“Kid? I’m 19 thank you.”
“Whatever. Kaya,
do it.”
Kaya used a mind meld to tap into Harley and Rini’s minds and twist them. Minutes later they were as
twisted and evil as Mistress 9 herself. Rini was once
again Black Lady and I decided to refer to Harley as Dark Lady. Keep the theme of evil going.
“How can we serve you Princess
Amelia?” Rini asked.
“You can start by calling me Mia.
I hate Amelia. Then, you can go and defeat the other Sailor Soldiers…Moon,
Mercury, Mars, Jupiter, Venus, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto. I want them
all dead.”
“As you wish.” Harley said.
I smiled, “Good girls.”
“Good job Mia, now we can focus on
finding Diamond.” Kaya said.
“Any luck with finding him?”
“I have a faint trace on his life
force, but it’s not steady. The signal drops and I can’t really get a lock.
Beyond that he’s obviously moving. Where ever he came back at, he’s clearly
trying to make his way to LA…presumably to Sailor Moon.”
“Hmm, so Diamond wants to stealth
out? No matter, we’ll find him just the same.” I said as my cell phone rang.
“Hello?” I answered.
“Mia, how are you?” JessLyn said.
I sighed, “Jess, hey. What can I
do for you?”
“I have some great news.”
“Oh?”
“I got you a performance on SNL
for this week.”
“What? No. Jess, you should have
asked, this really is a bad time.”
“Mia, do you have any idea how big
this is?”
“Absolutely, I’ve always wanted to
do SNL, but seriously, I have bigger issues to deal with.”
“Like what?”
“They’re personal. Seriously Jess,
any other time I’d be thrilled, but I can’t this week.”
“Too late. You’re booked. SNL studios this Saturday
at noon. Be there.”
“But Jess…” I started, but she’d
hung up. I sighed, “UGH!”
“What’s wrong?” Kaya asked.
“Jess booked me for SNL this
week.” I said.
“That’s great, but you’ll be
somewhere between here and

“That’s where I traced Diamond to
so that’s where we start.”
“Of all the
places in the world, why

“OK, but we have to make it fast.

I nodded, “I’ll put a stop to her,
just wait and see.”
“Good girl. Now, grab your Black
Crystal and let’s get to

“Of course.”
“Thanks Kaya.
I knew I could count on you.”
“Always. Are you ready?”
“Black Lady and Dark Lady have the
Sailors covered, JessLyn can bite me, and I have you.
Let’s do it.”
Kaya
and I teleported to
“Ok Kaya, where to now?” I asked.
“Well,
the signal has still been in and out but I did get a reading from over there…at
the marina.” Kaya said.
“OK,
let’s go.”
Kaya and I headed to the marina shop. I really hoped they
spoke English. I found a worker and went up to him.
“Good
afternoon sir, I’m looking for someone and I hope you may have seen him.” I
said.
“Who
are you looking for?” the man asked.
“Oh
good, you speak English. Ok, well, he’s a young man, probably about my age,
with white hair and he normally dresses in white I think. His name is Diamond.”
I said.
“Oh,
right…yeah, I’ve seen him. Strange kid. Washed up on
shore over yonder and was mumbling about some princess he was looking for.”
“Where
is he now?”
“Not
sure. He was here for a couple of nights then he took off. Said he had to find
this princess of his. Like I said, strange kid.”
“Any idea where he may have gone?”
“Took a bus. I think it was headed to
I nodded, “Thank you.”
I
sighed and walked away.
“OK Kaya,
“OK,
check your backpack. The mobile tracker is in there.” Kaya
said.
I
nodded and pulled it out. I turned it on and tried to track.
Kaya sighed, “We’ll have to wait until it locks on again. His
signal is still too choppy.”
“This
isn’t going to be easy.”
“No,
but it has to be done. It’s ok Mia. We’ll find him, don’t you worry.”
“I
hope so Kaya. I hope so.”
