PRT 371- “Moon Takes Control”
“It’s so good to be home.” I
sighed as I fell on the bed.
“I thought you loved
“I do…but there’s no place like
home. Besides, with all the drama it wasn’t exactly a fun trip.”
“Eh, that’s true. I still can’t
believe Adam didn’t show up.”
“He dumped Mina. Why would he show
up?”
“He didn’t dump her, he’s just
reevaluating if he still wants to marry her.”
“She made a deal with Nemesis.”
“I know. I still can’t believe she
did that.”
I sighed, “I’m tempted to pull
rank and remove her from battle.”
“You can’t afford to do that.”
“We can if you’re willing to join
us instead of just backing us up.”
“Are you sure?”
“I may not have a choice. If we
can’t trust her what else can I do?”
“SERENA!
We ran to the other room.
“What is it Luna?” I asked.
“New enemies
downtown. They are attacking civilians.” Luna said.
“OK. I’m on it. You
coming
“Sure, let’s do it.”
We took off, both transforming on
the way. I also called the others but
“Hold it right there!” I demanded,
“I’m Sailor Moon, champion of love and justice. I will right wrongs and…”
“…triumph over evil…blah blah blah.” One of the women
said. She looked very familiar.
“Whoa…Rini?!” I asked.
“You may call be Black Lady, and
on behalf of Nemesis I will destroy you.” She said.
“Oh not this
again.” I sighed.
“Rini,
what is going on? We can help you.”
“I think you need to be worried
about helping yourself.” Rini said as she blasted
some dark energy at us. We jumped out of the way.
“Weak. Let me give it a shot.” Rini’s partner said as she blasted us with some dark purple
lightning.
We flew back, “Ugh…ok, only one
bloodline can do that.”
“Yeah, Saturn’s. Let me guess, you’re the future daughter of Sailor
Saturn.”
“Nicely done Tuxedo Mask, you
figured it out. You can call be Dark Lady.” She said.
“This is just what we needed.” I
sighed as the other Inners showed up.
“What is this?” Venus asked.
“Be careful guys, it’s Rini and…Michelle’s future
daughter.” I said.
“Oh great, as if
one bitchy Sataurian wasn’t bad enough.” ‘
“This isn’t the time Venus.” Mars
said.
“Rini,
don’t do this. We’re your family.” Jupiter said.
“You really think you can change
my mission with a few kind words? Sailor Nemesis made it quite clear she wants
you dead and her will we will obey.” Rini said.
“World Shaking!”
The Outers showed up, Saturn
included. Uranus’s attack hit Dark Lady and she flew back.
“Ugh, how did you manage to
transform?” Venus scoffed.
“From my room. Only place I have any privacy these days. Now what is
going on?” I asked.
“Saturn, meet our future
daughters.” I said.
Saturn looked bewildered, “
“Sorry, wrong one. Name’s Harley,
but you can call be Dark Lady. Buh-bye Mummy dearest.” Harley said as she blasted Saturn.
Saturn landed with a thump but
pulled herself up, “Harley? Whoa, who is your dad?”
“Took me awhile
to figure that out myself, I sure ain’t telling you.” Harley said.
“Huh?”
“Let’s just say you have this
coming to you for all the lies.” Harley said firing off some more lightning,
this time Saturn dodged.
“I don’t care who this girl is,
she’s going down.”
“NO!” Saturn cried as she fired
off some lightning, disabling
“Saturn, what are you doing? We
have to fight.” Uranus said.
“No! Harley and Rini are our future. We can’t hurt them.” Saturn said.
“Saturn, if they take us out there
won’t be a future.”
“I won’t let you hurt them.” She
said.
“Neither will I.”
I said as I stood next to Saturn, blocking our daughters from harm.
“You’re both being insane. We have
to defend ourselves.” Venus said.
“Venus, if it was your future
daughter up here, what would you do?” I asked.
“I understand what you’re saying, but
it isn’t them. They are under Nemesis’s control.”
“I wouldn’t expect you to
understand. You’d have to have a heart first.” Saturn hissed.
“That’s it. I’ll take out Dark
Lady and you.”
“Try it. Did you forget what
happened last time you took me on?”
“I underestimated you. I won’t
make that mistake again.”
“Um, guys…the enemy is over there.
Not each other.” Mercury said.
“Sorry Mercury, Venus just won’t
let this go.” Saturn said.
“Me? You’re the one defending the
enemy! Now move aside, both of you!” Venus screamed.
“You’re not hurting Rini!” I cried.
“You’re as bad as Saturn!”
“Me?! You’re the one that made a deal with Nemesis!”
“Yeah,
you…whoa…you what?!?!” Saturn asked.
“Thanks Sailor Moon, really.
Thanks a lot.” Venus said.
“You made a deal with Nemesis? Traitor!”
“I did it to be rid of you. I
never would have done it if you hadn’t of attacked me!”
“What? What sort of deal?”
“Still looking for your leak? Look
no further.”
Saturn’s eyes opened wide, “YOU’RE
THE LEAK?!”
“Kept you busy didn’t it?”
“Oh you little…SATURN ICE
“VENUS LOVE CHAIN, ENCIRCLE!”
Their attacks hit each other and
both went flying.
“OK…whoa. I wasn’t quite expecting
this.” Harley said.
“Since when do they fight each
other?” Rini asked.
“Makes our jobs
simple.”
“
“I’m sorry Sailor Moon, there’s
nothing I can do. How do you expect we stop them?”
I sighed, “I don’t know…wait a
second, yes I do. I may not be able to stop Saturn, but I can certainly stop
Venus.”
“How?”
I summoned the Silver Crystal.
“Sailor Moon, no…you can’t use
that.”
“Don’t worry. I know what I’m
doing.” I channeled my power through the crystal and focused it on Venus. I
used the
“What? Venus Spirit Power!” she
cried. Nothing happened. “Sailor Moon, what did you do?!”
“I absorbed your powers. Until you
can fight the true enemy I’m not giving them back
either. Saturn, you have the Amethyst and I can’t take away your power, but so
help me, if you attack Mina I will take you on. No one knows who would win in a
fight of the
Mina glared at me and Saturn
relaxed her stance.
“Fine, she can’t do anything to me
now anyway.” Saturn said.
“I can’t believe you Serena…how could you do this?!” Mina cried.
“You left me with now choice. I’m
sorry.” I said.
“Fine…if that’s the way you want
it, I don’t want to be on your team anyway!” Mina cried as she ran off.
“Now then, as for you two…” I said
looking at Harley and Rini.
“Our instructions were clear. You
all have to die.” Rini said.
“OK, you see I’m totally not in
the mood for this right now so I’m going to use this crystal on Rini and Saturn is going to use her Amethyst on Harley so
we can just be done with this.”
“Sorry Momma, not today. Harley, I
think we need to confer with Mistress 9. Come on.” Rini
said.
“Right behind
you.” Harley said as they both
teleported away.
“Great job
Sailor Moon…announce our plan to the enemy. That a new strategy?” Saturn
asked.
“Don’t start with me Saturn. I’m
not in the mood. I just stripped one of my best friends of her power and it’s
all because you two couldn’t stop acting like children. I’m sick of this. I’m
sick of there being three Sailor Teams. I’m sick of fighting my friends. I’m
sick of it all. And I’m dead serious, you push me and I will take you on. Venus
may not be a match for you, but I’m just as powerful as you, maybe more, and I
will put it to the test if you force my hand.” I said.
Saturn looked taken aback, “Fine.
Just stay out of my way. And if any of you Inners do anything to hurt Harley
you answer to me.”
“Same goes for Rini.
Your team hurts her and you don’t want to know what I’ll do.”
“Fine.” Saturn said as she took the Outers and left.
I sighed.
“Are you ok?” Mercury asked.
“No Mercury. I’m not. Everything
is falling apart and there is nothing I can do. I’m as far as you get from ok.”
I said as I walked away,
I de-transformed as I got home and
went inside. I went up to my room and fell on the bed and cried.
“It’s ok Serena.” He whispered.
“It’s not ok. None of this is ok.”
I said through my tears.
“You did what you had to do. For
what it’s worth, I’m proud of you sweetheart.”
“You are?”
“Yeah, I really am. You took a firm
stand and did what you felt needed to be done. You were very strong.”
“Thank you. I needed to hear that.
But it doesn’t fix the problem…or save Rini.”
“Don’t worry about Rini. We will save her. She’s our daughter and we won’t let
anything happen to her.”
“You know, when she was here 10
years ago or whatever, I never felt like a mom. I felt like a big sister if
anything. Now…this is different.”
“You’re older. You realize this is
a different Rini though, right?”
“How do you mean?”
“That Rini
was from the far future…the 30th century. She was our daughter, but
the daughter of our reincarnated future selves. This Rini
appears to literally be our future daughter.”
“So before, Rini
was our daughter like I’m Queen Serenity’s daughter?”
“Exactly.”
“This Rini
is our daughter in our life time.”
“Right. It seems that way.”
“Either way we have to save her.”
“We will. I’m not letting Nemesis
harm my daughter. She just went too far. I promise you, Rini
will be fine.”
“How did everything fall apart so
fast?”
“It just happened…but hope isn’t
lost. You know that. We’ve been in rough spots before and we always find our
way out of it. We will this time too. You just have to believe it.”
I nodded, “Thanks Darien. I needed
to hear that. I still don’t know what to do about Mina though. She’s lost her
company, Adam, and her power. This isn’t going to make her any saner.”
“Yeah, and I also don’t think it
will stop Mina and Michelle from battling in civilian ways.”
I sighed, “I don’t think so
either. You’ve known Michelle longer than I have…maybe you can talk to her.”
“I tried. Besides, Rocky is the
person she listens to when she won’t listen to anyone else and even he can’t
get her to stop this.”
“True. I also get the feeling
she’s not going to have the Outers work with us anytime soon.”
“I got that impression too.”
“I hate to say it, but it may come
down to fighting her with the
“Serena, you can’t let it come to
that. One, or both of you could die.”
“You think I want it to come to
that? I may not have a choice
“There has to be another way.”
“Do you know of another way to
battle Michelle, cause I don’t.”
“Actually…”
“What?”
“If you teamed up with Nemesis you
could take Michelle out.”
My eyes widened, “What? Are you
serious?”
“Better than you
risking your life.”
“But Nemesis is evil.”
“And Michelle is misusing power,
which is almost as bad. Besides, you may be able to bargain for Rini’s return.”
“Yeah…but…Saturn
is wrong but…I don’t know.”
