PRT 375- “Chasing Diamond”
I woke up to the smell of bug spray
and sweat.
“Ugh.” I groaned as I rolled off
my cot.
“Good Morning Mia.” Kaya said.
I narrowed my eyes at her, “What
exactly is good about it? I’m in a South American rain forest chasing a rebel
that is still one step ahead of us and I missed being on SNL. When I find
Diamond I’m going to torture him before I kill him.”
“Calm down Mia. We’ll find him. We
just have to keep moving. I finally was able to pinpoint him about an hour
ago.”
“Oh? You finally got a lock
instead of a blip?”
“Yeah.”
“OK, where is he?”
“
“OK, let’s get out of this humid
bug nest and get to
Mina

“I can’t believe you’re taking her
side!” I cried.
“Whoa! I’m NOT taking sides.” Lita said shaking her head.
“You sound like it.”
“All I’m saying is that you
shouldn’t blame Serena. She did what she felt she had to do. This comes down to
you and Michelle. You both started this and you both caused this.”
I sighed, “I hate Michelle.”
“You do not.”
“Yeah Lita,
I do.”
“I still can’t believe you made a
deal with Nemesis.”
“I did what I thought had to be
done.”
“Yeah, and if Jon finds out you’re
the leak then you’re toast.”
I rolled my eyes, “Oh please, I’m
not worried about Jon. What’s he going to do to me? He can’t sue because the
pictures are real, and if he so much as touches me I’ll call the cops and he
knows it. He won’t do anything.”
“I hope you’re right.”
“Right now my biggest concern is
Adam and how I’m going to get him back.”
“Well, making up with
“No, I mean something actually
doable.”
Lita sighed, “Then I have no idea. He’s pretty angry…and I
can’t say I blame him.”
“Thanks a lot.”
“I’m sorry, but you did make a
deal with Nemesis. Do you even get that? NEMESIS.”
“Yeah, yeah. I know.”
“I don’t get it. How did this
happen? You and

I rolled my eyes again, “Whatever Lita.”
Lita had come over and we were sitting on my sofa drinking iced
tea and talking. I guess she thought she could talk me into forgiving

Kaya and I arrived in
“About time you found me. ” He said.
“You knew we were tracing you?” I
asked.
“Yes, it was my plan.”
“What plan?”
“Get you away from the princess.
It worked didn’t it.”
“I left plenty to keep your
princess busy.”
“You honestly think your minions
can take on the princess and her guardians?”
“How did you survive Diamond?”
“Dumb luck. Wiseman left me for dead, but didn’t check to make sure I
was dead. When Sailor Moon defeated the dark crystal I was expelled into the
future. There wasn’t enough energy to take me back to the 30 th century, but I did end up in the
22 nd . I was found and nursed back to health. I saw
the destruction of the future and knew I had to try to save the past so the
future is strong enough to fight the threats. I also knew you would awaken and
if you were to rule Nemesis then it would always be the dark, dismal planet it
is and will be. I decided that when I was strong enough I would come back to
this time and make sure you don’t have a chance to rule.” He said.
“Oh, and who should rule? You?”
“Yes. I would bring in a new
regime of hope and peace.”
“Pathetic. You’re never getting my
throne Diamond. Your days as a prince are over.” I said as I started to blast
him.
He dodged and returned with his
own attack.
“Mia, be careful.” Kaya warned.
“Don’t worry about me Kaya. Diamond is the only one going down here.” I said.
“I wouldn’t count on it Mia.”
Diamond said.
“You’re a rebel Diamond. You’ll
never win.”
“I’m the future Prince of
Nemesis.”
“Over my dead
body.”
“I can arrange that.”
We fought for several minutes but
neither of us ever truly gained the upper hand.
“This is going nowhere. You’re
stronger than I thought. Maybe you would make a good prince. You could rule at
my side.” I said.
“Are you serious? Me? Rule with
you? Not a chance.”
“Your loss.” I said blasting again.
“When I get to the princess and
tell her who you are it will all be over.” Diamond said as he blocked my attack
again.
“You won’t get the chance.”
“Try me.” Diamond said as he teleported
away.
“UGH! I’m going to kill that guy!”
I shrieked.
“Calm down Mia, you’re of no use
if you’re out of control. Relax.” Kaya said.
“Relax?! Diamond is probably
heading to LA to tell the others who I am! I have to stop him!”
“It’ll be ok. Let’s go.”

“So can we stop talking about
Michelle, please? I’d much rather discuss your engagement!” I said.
“Oh, ok. I didn’t think you’d want
to talk about it because of…you know…” Lita said.
“Lita,
just because my engagement is on the rocks doesn’t mean I’m not thrilled for
you and Andrew. It’s about time you two get married.”
Lita laughed, “I know, I know. And I’m so excited!”
“You should be! Have you set a
date yet?”
“No, but Andrew isn’t wanting to wait so I think it’ll be before the end of the
year.”
“I don’t blame him. It took
forever for you to say ‘yes’.”
“Yeah, I know. But I’d like to get
rid of Nemesis before the wedding. The last thing I want is to have to run out
in the middle of my own wedding to fight Nemesis or her latest scheme.”
“Yeah, I understand. I guess I
don’t have to worry about that now.” I sighed.
“Hey, don’t start. You did this to
yourself Mina. What was Serena supposed to do? Let you go wild with your
power?”
“I didn’t do anything wrong!”
“You used them against Michelle and
were about to go after Rini and Harley.”
“Michelle was asking for it and Rini and Harley are EVIL.”
“I won’t argue Michelle is partly
to blame, but Rini and Harley are brainwashed. We
need to try to save them, not kill them.”
“Oh I wasn’t actually going to
kill them, just injure them enough to capture them.”
“Sure you were.”
I rolled my eyes, “Whatever.”
“The point is,
Serena felt she had no choice. It tore her up to do that to you.”
“Yeah, she seemed SO broken up.”
“She was Mina,
you have no idea how hard that was for her.”
“Forgive me if I lack sympathy but
I’ve lost my fiancé, powers, company, record deal, best friend, and I feel
alienated from the rest of my friends now too.”
“That’s your doing Mina. You did
all of that on your own.”
“With some help
from Michelle.”
“Yeah, but you kept the war going
too.”
I rolled my eyes again, “Yeah,
whatever.”

Kaya and I got back to LA and started trying to find Diamond.
We tracked him to an abandoned warehouse.
“Nice try Diamond. You’re not
escaping this time. Nemesis Spirit Power!” I cried as
I transformed. “Nemesis Dark Blast!”
The blast hit Diamond straight on
and he flew back into a wall.
“Ready to
surrender?” I asked.
“Surrender to you? Not in a
million years.”
“Then prepare to suffer!” I
screamed as I blasted him again.
He was clearly hurt badly, but he
still managed to get up and blast me back. It was unexpected and by the time I
got up and went to finish him off, he was gone…somehow.
“UGH! Where did he go?” I cried.
“He’s too injured to go far.” Kaya said.
“So track him!”
“Unfortunately his life force is
also weak. I can’t track him.”
“We have to find him. Maybe he’ll
die from his injuries and he’ll make it easy on us.”
“We can only hope. We have to find
him before he blows your cover.”
“I know that Kaya…but
you can’t track him, what do I do?”
Kaya sighed, “I don’t know Mia. I guess we start looking for
him.”
“LA is a huge city!”
“Yeah, so we better get to work.”

“Thanks for coming by.” I said as I
walked Lita out. She needed to get home.
“Anytime. You know we’re friends no matter what.” She said hugging
me.
“Thanks. See you later.” I said as
she left. I closed the door and grabbed my keys. I needed to go pick up some
things from the store.
I got in my car and was driving
when I noticed a white lump in the road. It looked like a hurt human. I slammed
on my brakes and after the car squealed to a stop I threw it into park and got
out. I ran to the lump and saw it was, in fact, a person.
“Sir, are you ok?” I asked as I
knelt next to the man.
The man looked up, “Venus, help
me.”
I looked at the man, wide eyed, it
was Prince Diamond! “Prince Diamond, who did this?”
“Princess Mia.”
“Princess Mia?”
“Sailor
Nemesis.”
“Nemesis is Princess Mia? Mia? Why
do I know that na…Mia Blackwood? Prince Diamond, is Sailor Nemesis Mia
Blackwood?”
“Yes.” Diamond said right before
he passed out.
I needed help fast. I pulled out
my cell phone and dialed Adam’s number.
“Hello?” he answered.
“Adam, it’s me, please don’t hang
up.”
“What do you want Mina?”
“I need help. Prince Diamond is
back and he was attacked by Nemesis. I need help. I think he’s dying.”
“Whoa, I thought he was dead.”
“Me too, but he’s not…not yet
anyway. Please, I’m begging you.”
“Where are you?”
“
“I’m on my way.”
I knew Adam would help me with
Prince Diamond, which was good. I had so many questions…but the biggest was what to do with this
new information. Mia had replaced me as Michelle’s best friend and Michelle had
no idea she was Nemesis and trying to destroy her. Part of me wanted to tell
Michelle but another part felt she deserved what she was getting. I had no idea
how to handle this.
