PRT 381- “BFFs”
Mia and I arrived at my apartment
and went inside. We went to my room and I pulled out the box I had the Amethyst
in.
“Hurry up.” Mia said.
“Chill out. I just found out my
best friend betrayed me, is using a man I love against me, and I’m about to
die. Excuse me if I’m not rabbit fast.”
“Whatever, just hand it over.”
I sighed as I pulled the Amethyst
from it’s case. “And when you get this you promise
you’ll let Jonny live? You’ll let him go back to Dot and live his life?”
“Yeah, I promise.”
“Fine…here.” I said. I handed Mia
the Amethyst. The second her negative energy came in contact with it I felt it.
I screamed out in pain.
Mia sighed, “I’m not entirely
cold, you should at least die in your own bed.” She
walked me to the bed and helped me lay down. The pain I was feeling was
intense. I groaned as I felt my life force draining. The Amethyst was
disconnecting from me and when it completely severed it’s
tie that would be it for me.
“Do we have to stay here and watch
this?” Mia asked Kaya.
“Yes. We have to make sure she
really is dead and can’t cause us anymore trouble.” Kaya
said as she hopped up on the bed to watch over me.
“But I have the Amethyst now…we’ve
won.”
“Mia, you’re too cocky. We haven’t
won until both Michelle and Serena are dead.”
“Michelle is dying.”
“Dying isn’t dead.”
I felt tears coming down my
cheeks. I didn’t want to die. I wanted to be in Jon’s arms again. I wanted to
hold him and tell him how very much I loved him…but I felt my life force
growing weaker and weaker.
“It’s almost over Mia. It won’t be
long now.” Kaya said.
Suddenly Mia was hit from behind
by a baseball bat. She stumbled forward, dropping the Amethyst.
“It’s not over yet.” Mina said as
she ran in, baseball bat in hand.
“Mia, get up! Get the Amethyst!” Kaya cried.
“Not a chance.” Mina said as she
pulled Mia’s hair. The two women struggled to get to the Amethyst and Mina
reached it first.
“No!” Kaya
cried.
“It’s over Mia!” Mina cried.
“Not yet. I can do something you
can’t! Nemesis Spirit Power!”
“Yeah? Too little, too late.” Mina said
as she ran over to me and placed the Amethyst in my hand. The second I touched
it the pain stopped and I felt at peace. I closed my eyes and focused on this
feeling. As I did the Amethyst started to reconnect to me. In doing so it
emitted a powerful purple light.
“Mia, run!” Kaya
screamed.
“This isn’t over!” Mia cried as
she and Kaya ran off.
As the power leveled off and the
light went away I started to feel normal again…weak, but normal. I sat up and
looked at Mina.
“What are you doing?” I asked.
“Saving you. Your gratitude is noted.” She scoffed.
“I gave Mia the Amethyst in
exchange for Jon’s life!”
“Mia has Jon?”
I nodded.
“You idiot…I can’t believe you’d
just hand it over like that.”
“What would you have me do? Let
Jon die?”
Mina sighed, “I’ll help you get
Jon back.”
“How, you don’t have powers.”
“But you have the Amethyst. Come
on, we’ll find him.”
“Ok, thanks.”

“Harley? Are you ok?” I asked.
She nodded, “I’m fine. Thank you.
You broke Nemesis’s hold on me…but we have to get to my mom before Nemesis does
or it’s over for both of us.”
“OK, can we start by unchaining
me?”
“Oh! Of course.
I’m sorry.” She said as she freed me. We both got dressed.
“Let’s go.” I said.
She nodded and we headed out as
another woman came in.
“Harley, now what are you doing? I
know you’re not helping our prisoner escape.” She said.
“Rini,
don’t. Nemesis has you brainwashed. I was too but you can fight it. We have to
get out of here before Nemesis gets the Amethyst.” Harley said.
“I always knew you were the weaker
one. Traitor.” Rini said as
she tried to blast Harley.
Harley jumped out of the way, “No Rini!”
“You’re not leaving here alive!”
“Fine, if that’s the way you want
it, then that’s the way we’ll play it.” Harley said as she shot off some
lightning at Rini. Rini
dodged and the two started to fight.
“Harley!” I cried.
“Jon, get out of here.” Harley
replied as she continued to fight.
I looked around. I knew I couldn’t
just leave Harley. I found a good size rock in the corner of the cave and
picked it up. I threw it, hard as I could, at Rini’s
head. I hit her and knocked her out.
“Whoa…nice
throw. Thanks!” Harley said.
“Don’t mention it,
now let’s get out of here.” I said.
“With ya.” She said.
I grabbed her hand and we ran out
of the cave.
“OK, stay close,
we’ll teleport back to the city.” Harley said.

“How do you intend on tracking
him?” I asked Mina as we sat at my computer.
“Not 100% sure yet, but we’ll find
him, I promise.” She said.
I nodded, “Thanks…why did you save
me anyway? I thought you hated me.”
“I’m mad at you, I don’t want you
dead.”
“You could have gotten yourself
killed, you can’t transform.”
“Eh, it’s no big deal.”
“It’s a really big deal Mina. You
risked your life for me.”
“I told you, I don’t want to see
you dead.”
“Mina…”
“OK, fine, you’re still like a
sister to me. I still love you.”
“I still love you too
Min…listen…I…I’m sorry about everything.”
Mina sighed, “I’m sorry too
“And I was wrong to think you
would ever use me.”
“I hate fighting with you…I know a
lot of horrible things have been said and done but I really am sorry. Forgive
me?”
I nodded, “If you forgive me.”
Mina nodded, “Deal.”
We hugged and cried.
“Michelle?!” I heard a male voice yell from the living room.
“MOM?!” a female voice echoed.
I looked at Mina and she looked as
confused as I was. We ran to the living room and found Harley and Jon.
“Jonny?” I asked.
“Harley…” Mina said taking a
fighting stance.
“It’s ok, the spell broke. She’s
good.” Jon said.
“I am so sorry Mo…Michelle. I
didn’t mean to hurt you.” Harley said.
“It’s ok. We all get brainwashed
at some point.” I said hugging her. I turned to Jon, “And you, my god I was
worried about you.” I fell into his arms.
“I was so scared you’d give in to
Nemesis to save me. I thought I’d lose you.” Jon said as he held me tight.
“You almost did. I did give her
the Amethyst. I would be dead right now if Mina hadn’t saved me.” I said.
Jon looked up, “Thank you Mina.”
“It’s the least I could so…and I’m
sorry I leaked those pictures. Really I am. Can you forgive me?” Mina asked.
“You saved Michelle’s life. I
think we can call it even.”
“Besides, it’s not all Mina’s
fault. Nemesis was the one who took those pictures.” I said.
“Yeah, I wish I knew who she was.”
Jon said.
“Wish granted. I do know.”
“Who?”
“Mia.”
Jon’s jaw dropped, “Mia? Mia
Blackwood?”
“Yeah.”
“Oh my god, that makes so much
sense. She was hanging out with us at the club that night.”
I nodded, “Yeah. She took the
pictures with her phone camera and gave them to Mina to leak.”
“She’s so dead.”
“Jonny, calm down…we have power
and you don’t.”
“Speak for yourself.” Mina said.
“Yeah, ok…wait…I don’t have power
either! Mia still has my phone and transformation bracelet!” I cried.
“It doesn’t matter right now. Mia
will still be a threat tomorrow…and I know none us got any sleep last night.
I nodded.
“OK, and
where do I go?” Harley asked.
“You can help…come with me…your
mom needs some alone time with Jon.” Mina said.
I smiled, “Thanks.”
“It’s the least I can do. We’ll
see you tomorrow.”
After Mina and Harley were gone
Jon and I retreated to my bedroom. He pulled me tightly into his arms and I
rested my head on his chest.
“Sounds like you were quite the
warrior…breaking spells and saving my future daughter…how did you do it?” I
asked.
“Just used the
old Giovanni charm. Works
on all Morris women.” Jon replied with a smirk.
“Charm? More like seductio…whoa…please
tell me you didn’t seduce my daughter.”
“Truth?”
“Oh god, Jonny, did you sleep with
Harley?”
“I did what I had to do in order
to get out of there.”
“You slept with her?”
“Yeah.”
“Eww…that
is disgusting!”
“It was pretty good actually.”
I hit him, “Jon!”
“What?!”
“You cheated on me with my
daughter!”
“OK, when you say it like that it
sounds messed up…and how can I cheat on you, we’re not together, remember?”
I turned red.
“Got you didn’t I?”
“You always have me.” I whispered
as I kissed him.
“Mmm, so
does this mean you forgive me?”
“Yeah, of course I do.”
“See, Giovanni charm.”
“Yeah, well I hope that Giovanni
charm can help you with Dot. Rich and Dot both still think you’re missing.”
“Oh crap…what are we going to tell
them?”
“Um, that…that you were car jacked
at gunpoint and the carjacker hit you over the head hard and you passed out,
when you came to you staggered to the nearest phone and called home.”
“Hmm, that’s really good.”
“I’ve been covering my tracks for
years.”
“Yeah, about this whole super
heroine thing…it almost got me killed.”
“You gonna
stop seeing me?”
“Of course not, I love you, I just wish you’d give it up.”
“Not happening. Jon, it didn’t
almost get you killed. It almost got me killed. I would never let anything
happen to you. I’d sacrifice myself first.” I said.
“If you did that you may as well
kill me. I don’t think I could go on in a world without you.”
“Oh…baby…”
“You don’t know what it did to me
to think I may never see you again…to never get to hold you or kiss you or tell
you how much you mean to me.”
“I’m so sorry…but it’s ok. I’m
here.” I said.
“I think we have some lost time to
make up.”
“I think so.” I said as we went
over to my bed. We sat down and I noticed his ankle. “What happened?”
“Rubbed raw by
the chain when I was captured. Harley
bandaged it.”
“Oh poor baby.” I said as I helped him sit on the bed. I pushed him back
and straddled him.
“Think you can make it better?” He
asked with a smile.
“I think I can get your mind off
it.” I said as I slid my shirt over my head.
“You’re off to a good start but
that bra is obstructing my view.” He said.
I laughed, “Oh really? Is it?”
“It is.”
“Well, you dirty old man, I’m not
sure if I want to do you after you’ve been with my daughter.” I said teasingly.
“Oh come on, I did that to save
myself.”
“Hmm, well…ok. But I swear to God if you tell me she’s better in bed I’m
never touching you again.”
“Baby, she could never compare to
you.”
“Nicely played
sir. OK…come here.” I said as I leaned
down and kissed him. We had a whole night of lost time to make up for before we
went to sleep.
