PRT 399- “Beyond Saturn Part 2”
“Saturn, what are you doing here?” Mia asked as she started to back up.
“Not so tough now are you?” I asked.
“What’s up with your eyes?”
“Glowing purple again?”
Mia nodded.
“Yeah, happens when I’m emotionally charged. I have trouble controlling my powers.” I said as I held up my hand and released an orb of lightning.
Mia jumped out of the way, “Can’t we talk about this?”
“You weren’t so willing to talk when you killed my sister!” I cried as I fired another orb.
“OK, that’s enough! Mia, transform already!” Hotaru yelled as she jumped forward and attacked me.
“Back of Hotaru…this doesn’t concern you.”
“Oh, but it does…and you wouldn’t kill your own sister, would you?”
“You’re not my sister, not in this life anyway. Now…back…off.” I said firmly as I summoned my staff and pushed her back.
“Not happening.” Hotaru replied as she summoned her own staff.
“Hotaru is right. Enough is enough. Nemesis Spirit Power!” Mia cried.
“About time you stepped up.” I said as I pushed Hotaru back and prepared to take on Nemesis.
“All I wanted was Kaya. If you would have just gotten me Kaya then Mindy would still be alive.”
“You knew I was trying and you killed her anyway!” I cried as I fired an even stronger orb.
“OK, enough of that. Nemesis Dark Blast!”
That just made me all the angrier and I held my hands out. Very bright purple lightning radiated from me.
“Saturn, that’s enough!” another voice called. I turned around and saw the other Soldiers.
“I wondered when you bunch would show up.” I smirked.
“We know you’re hurting Saturn, but you have to calm down. What you’re doing is dangerous.” Sailor Moon said.
I rolled my eyes, “You all are as guilty as she is.”
“We tried to save her. You know that.” Venus said.
“Save it. I’m not buying.” I said as I fired an orb at them. It hit Moon and sent all of the flying back.
“OK, friend or not I refuse to get thrown around anymore! Mars Fire Ignite!” Mars cried.
Her flames hit me but the purple glow around me protected me from the full effect. “No, that’s not how this is gonna go.” I said as I returned her attack with my own.
“Mars! Look out!” Jupiter cried as she pushed Mars out of the way, getting hit herself with the lightning instead.
“Jupiter!” Venus cried.
“Ok, I’m sorry Princess, but this ends here. World Shaking!” Uranus cried.
“Deep Submerge!”
I jumped up in the air and hovered. I still had my flight from when I was with Overdrive. I hovered over the attacks. They missed me altogether.
“Looks, her whole body is glowing purple now and it’s brighter!” Mars cried.
“Saturn, you have to stop before you destroy the world!” Moon cried.
“I have no interest in destroying the world…just you.” I said, “Well, you and Neme…” I turned around and noticed she and Hotaru had retreated. “Damn it! She got away. It’s your fault!” I cried as I fired another, more powerful orb at the others. They flew back again.
“OK, time to fight lightning with thunder. Jupiter Thunder Clap, Zap!” Jupiter cried.
“Venus Love and Beauty Shock!” Venus added.
“Mars Celestial Fire Surround!”
“Shiny Aqua Illusion!” Mercury finished.
The four attacks combined and were actually fairly powerful. They hit me, knocking me out of hover and to the ground. It just made me angrier. I stood up.
“Uh-oh…the glow is brighter…” Venus said.
I didn’t say a word. I formed a large orb and propelled it at them. The blast was huge.
“Ok, time to re-group Sailors.” Moon said as she pulled herself up.”
“Agreed.” Venus and Uranus said as the same time.
“Cowards! Face me!” I screamed.
They were gone.
“MICHELLE!” a voice called. Rocky and Tommy ran into the room. It was Rocky calling for me.
“Go away.” I said firmly.
“Oh my god…” Tommy said as saw the glow around me.
“
“The angrier I get the brighter it gets.” I said softly.
“She’s lost control of her powers. Michelle, this is getting dangerous.” Tommy said.
“What are you two doing here? I told you not to stand in my way.”
“We saw the purple blasts and came to make sure you were ok.”
“I’m fine, with the exception of the Soldiers retreating.”
“They’re gone now. Let’s go home.” Rocky said reaching for my hand.
“No.” I replied.
“
“What is it?” Tommy asked.
“It’s like…lightning surrounding her. I can’t touch her.”
“Michelle, you have to get your power in check.”
“I have to make the Soldiers pay.”
Rocky gave Tommy a worried look, “What do we do?”
“
“There is no reason…no justice…only what we create.” I said as I hovered up again.
“Michelle, come down here.” Rocky begged.
“No. I will not rest until the Soldiers have all paid.” I said as I flew off. I was determined to get my revenge.
Lita

After we re-treated we went
to Mina’s apartment…what was left of it anyway.
“Are you guys ok?” Andrew asked.
“Barely.” I said.
“You guys look like you went through the ringer.”
“Feels like we did too.” Raye sighed.
“What happened? We were about to send
“We found Mia, but so had Michelle.” Mina said.
“Michelle did this?!” Adam asked.
“Yeah. Mia was docile compared to her.”
“And what was with that glow?” Serena asked.
“I know, that was weird.” Raye said.
“Glow?”
“Yeah, she was glowing purple and not just her eyes this time. Full body glow.”
“I’ve never seen her do that.” Adam said.
“Neither had we.” Mina agreed.
“The angrier she got the brighter the glow was and the more powerful her attacks.” I said.
“She could have killed you guys!” Andrew said as he looked me over. I had a few cuts and scrapes from the battle.
“It wasn’t for lack of trying.” Raye said.
“You guys seriously need some first aid.”
“Not a bad idea. You all look a little beat up.” Adam said.
Amy nodded in agreement, “Yeah. Mina that looks like it could use stitches.”
Mina felt her head and noticed the big gash that was bleeding, “Oh wow, yeah, probably…but we can’t just walk into a hospital. The press will be all over us.”
“I have some supplies in my car. Adam,
“Amy, you’re hurt too.” Adam said.
Amy looked at her own cuts, “I’ll be fine. Some of the others have more serious injuries.”
“And in the meantime we need another plan.” Raye said.
“Plan? You’re not seriously considering going after them
again are you?”
“We have to. Mia is dangerous enough but Michelle has lost control of her powers. Unless she gets them in check she’s a threat to the whole world.”
“But it’s dangerous.” Andrew said.
“It’s a risk we have to take.” I said.
“They’re right. If Michelle is out of control then everyone is at risk.” Adam agreed.
“And she is out of control.” Another voice said. We looked up and saw Tommy. Rocky was right behind him.
“Rock, Tommy…what are you two doing here?” Adam asked.
“We just saw Michelle.” Rocky said.
“And? How was she?” I asked.
“Disturbed. I’ve never seen her like that. I couldn’t even touch her. That glow shocked me.”
“Michelle has completely lost touch with reality and in that has lost control of her powers. If we don’t find some way to stop her then the whole world is in danger.” Tommy said.
“How do we stop her?” Mina asked.
“I’m still not sure but you’ll need help. I think the Rangers and Soliders need to team up.”
“You want us to take on Michelle? Seriously?” Adam asked.
“We don’t have a choice Adam. If we don’t stop her then there is no telling what damage she’ll do.”
“I’m not fighting Michelle.” Rocky said.
“You don’t have a choice. You have to.” Tommy said
“No. Tommy, you know I respect you and admire your leadership, but you’re wrong here. Michelle is good and fighting her won’t help anything.”
“We tried to get through to her. Nothing is working. Unless you have another idea we don’t have a choice.”
“I may have another plan.”
“If you think you can stop her, go for it…in the meantime we have to fight. I’m calling in Kat and Jason. We need the back up.”
“Fine, do what you have to do. I’m not taking part in it.” Rocky said as he left.
“He’s going to get himself killed.” Mina said.
“Michelle wouldn’t hurt him.” I said.
“Michelle isn’t in control of her power right now. There is no telling what she’ll do.” Tommy said.
“I don’t like this at all. Lita, this is too dangerous.” Andrew said.
“I agree. I don’t like this either.”
“We have to take Michelle on, we don’t have a choice.” I said.
“We’ll be careful…and we have back up.” Raye said.
“Which leaves Andrew and I to sit around and worry.”
“We’ll do everything we can to keep the girls safe.” Adam said.
Tommy nodded, “If I have any say no one is dying in this battle.”
Rocky

I did not like what I was about to do but I was more desperate than I had ever been. I had to save Michelle somehow and clearly Tommy and I were not getting through to her. There was one person that I knew touched her in the depths of her soul more than any other…even if the thought did drive me a little nuts.
I pulled into the parking lot of Hunter Bradley’s apartment and went to knock on his door. I really did not like this guy. I thought he was a jerk, but he was the only person I could think of that may get through to Michelle.
He opened the door, “Rocky? What are you doing here?”
“It’s not where I want to be, believe me.” I said.
“So then why are you here?”
“Michelle.”
“What about her?”
“Are you blind? Have you missed the purple lightning and explosions?”
“No, I just figured she was distraught about Mindy.”
“Oh, she’s more than distraught. She completely lost her mind.”
“What?”
“She’s lost touch with reality Hunter. This caused a massive disconnect in her and she’s lost control of her powers. She more powerful than any person should ever be and she’s aiming that power at all the Sailor Soldiers.”
“You mean more than just Nemesis?”
“All of them. She nearly killed them. Venus, Mars…they’re all hurt and Michelle isn’t stopping her tyranny.”
“Oh my god…that doesn’t sound like Michelle at all.”
“It’s not our Michelle. I tried to get through to her…so did Tommy…she’s set on revenge and isn’t listening. You’re the only person I can think of with a connection deep enough to reach her.”
“You’re kidding right? She hates me. She blames me for killing Aubrey. I’m the last person to calm her down.”
I sighed, “As much as this pains me to say…she loves you and she always has. You hurt her very deeply but that doesn’t change the fact that her love for you never died. You really do have a deep connection to her and it’s that connection I’m hoping will save her.”
“I don’t know…”
“You have to try. If we don’t stop her then the Soldiers and Rangers are going to attack her and someone will die…maybe her.”
“Tommy wouldn’t let that happen.”
“Tommy is leading the attack.”
“What?!”
“His devotion to protecting the Earth trumps everything. He loves his sister but he’s not going to leave a ticking time bomb running lose…or flying lose as the case is.”
“Fine, ok. I’ll help. Where is she?”
“I don’t know. She flew off.” I sighed.
“So how do we find her?” Hunter asked as we saw some purple flash lightning.
“We follow the light.”
Michelle

I was hunting for Mia again when I found the other Soldiers. They had some Rangers with them and were obviously hunting for me. I flew down, but hovered close to the ground.
“Someone forget to invite me to the party?” I asked.
“Saturn, please don’t do this.” Venus said.
“We don’t want to hurt you.” Kat (as the Pink Ranger) said.
“Don’t force us to.” Jason (Red Ranger) said.”
“Rangers, stay out of this. This doesn’t concern you.” I said.
“I’m afraid it does.” Adam said.
“Then I’ll have to get rid of you as well.” I said as I tossed an orb at them.
“No!” Adam cried as he used his Power Axe to reflect the orb back at me. It hit me and I flew back and landed several yards away with a thump.
“Ok, wasn’t expecting that.” I said as I pulled myself up.
“You’re out numbered Saturn, give it up.” Tommy said in his White Ranger form.
“Not a chance.” I said as I summoned my Amethyst. It was glowing an almost blinding purple. I’d had enough and it was time to end this.
“Look at it…that Amethyst will take out all of
“Saturn, no! You’ll kill us all!” Venus cried.
“I’m ok with that.” I said as I started to tap into the power.
Hunter

Rocky and I went in the direction of the purple light and stumbled on the battle. When I saw Michelle it scared me. She was glowing and didn’t look like Michelle at all. She summoned her Amethyst and the power radiating was beyond anything I’d ever seen. Rocky was right, she was going to get herself killed. I had to try to stop her.
“Michelle, NO!” I cried as I ran in between her and the Rangers/Soldiers.
“Hunter, get out of my way.” Michelle said, not that it sounded like Michelle’s voice, more like a hallow almost electronic form of her voice.
“No…this isn’t you. I’m not going to let you do something you’ll regret…or get yourself killed.”
“I have to have vengeance.”
“Since when do you seek vengeance? This isn’t you
“Get out of my way.”
“No! Not until you look into your heart and remember who you are!”
“Stay out of this!”
“No! Michelle, this isn’t you! Remember who you are! Remember the woman I fell in love with! Remember us!” I cried.
“You ruined us!”
“I know I did and I’ll regret that till the day I die! What we had was so good and beautiful! Remember it!”
“No!”
“Remember the first time you saw me! I know you felt the same thing I felt the first time I saw you! Our first date! When we danced in the rain! The first time we made love! The nights we were happy just being together! Remember!”
“No! I don’t want to remember!”
“You have to! It’s who you are! You’re kind and loving and good. You’re not full of revenge and hate. Michelle, you have to remember who we were together. We are a part of each other. Rocky came to find me because even he knows how deep our connection runs. Even when we’re not together, our love is stronger than any other force.”
“You ruined my life.” Michelle said as she stopped hovering and landed on the ground. The glow was starting to dim a bit.
“I know, and I’m so sorry. The last thing I ever wanted to do was to hurt you.”
“But you did! You broke my heart.”
“I know…and I will never be able to make up for that. I know what we have and I let it go. I was a fool. I know that…so do you. You know what we have. Look inside yourself and feel that connection. It’s in our souls. It’s good and pure and full of love.” I said as I approached her.
“Hunter, don’t touch her.” Rocky warned.
“It’s ok.” I said as I pulled her into my arms. Her glow didn’t shock me but it did spark my own powers and I felt a crimson glow form around me.
“You…you broke through the lightning field…you’re able to touch me…” Michelle said in shock. It sounded more like Michelle this time.
“Of course I can touch you. There is not a power in the world that can keep me from you.” I wrapped my arms tightly around her.
“Hunter…they killed her. They have to pay.” She whispered.
“No sweetheart, they didn’t kill her. Nemesis did and you know that. She is the only one that deserves to pay.” I whispered back.
“But…they could have stopped it.”
“Nemesis would have killed her anyway. There’s no way you can trust her. You know that too.”
Michelle started to cry.
“Oh baby, it’s ok…it’ll be ok.” I said as I brushed her hair with my hand.
“She died in my arms Hunter…my sister died in my arms.”
“I know baby girl. I am so sorry. I know it hurts. You’ve suffered more lately than any woman deserves…especially you…you don’t deserve any of this. If I could make it stop I would.” I said as I started to cry with her. It killed me to see her like this.
She started to cry harder, the glow around us stopped finally, she de-transformed, and rain started to pour from the sky…but there was no lightning this time. I had finally gotten through to her and her powers seemed to be under control again.
“Stand down.” I heard Tommy say, “Power down.” He walked over to us, “Michelle? Are you ok?”
“I’m sorry.” She whispered.
“It’s ok. It’s over now.” He said as he rubbed her back while I continued to hold her.
“We should get her home.” Rocky said.
“I agree. Come on baby, let’s get you home.” I said.
Michelle nodded and I picked her up and carried her towards the apartment.
We finally got her home and I took her to her room.
“You should change out of those wet clothes and get to sleep.” I said.
“Stay with me.” She whispered and she kissed me.
“I don’t think that’s a good idea.” I said as I pushed her away.
“Please. I need you so much.”
“I’ll lay down with you…that’s it.”
“Here.” She said throwing me a pair of my sweat pants and a t-shirt I’d left at her place when we were dating.
“I’m going to change in the bathroom. I’ll be right back.” I said. I knew going too far would hurt her…and possibly set her off again.
I left the room and headed to the guest bathroom. Tommy and Rocky were in the living room.
“Is she ok?” Rocky asked.
“She’s better. She’s exhausted. She really needs rest.” I said.
“What are you doing?”
“Changing clothes. She wants me to stay with her.”
“Um, I don’t think that’s a good idea. I’ll stay with her. You should go.”
“She asked me to.”
“You shouldn’t.”
“Rocky, if this is what Michelle wants let it go. We need to make her as calm as possible right now.” Tommy said.
“Thank you Tommy. Now if you’ll excuse me.” I said as I went in the bathroom and changed. I went back to Michelle’s room after and closed the door. I saw her sitting on the bed, popping some pills in her mouth. “Michelle, what are those?” I asked.
“Just something to take the edge off.” She said.
“Vicodin? Are you still taking Vicodin?”
“I need it to relax.” Michelle said.
“No sweetie, you really don’t. You’re going to kill yourself if you don’t get off it. I love you way too much to see that happen.”
“Don’t start with me, not today.”
I nodded, “OK…let’s just get in bed.”
We got in her bed and I pulled her into my arms.
“Thank you for saving me.” She whispered as she moved as close to me as she could.
“I will always save you, no matter what.” I replied as I kissed the back of her shoulder.
She closed her eyes and fell asleep pretty quickly.

After Hunter took Michelle, the rest of us went back to Mina’s.
“Are you guys ok?”
“We’re fine.” Raye replied.
“What happened?” Andrew asked.
“It’s over.” I said.
“What do you mean?”
“Hunter showed up and was able to get through to Michelle. She calmed down and her powers are under control…for now anyway.” Mina said.
“And Nemesis?”
“Nemesis wasn’t there. She’s still at large…but after dealing with Michelle, Mia should be a cake walk.” I said.
“No doubt…but she has to be getting desperate. Under control or not, Michelle is still after her.” Raye said.
“We need a plan.” Mina said.
“Agreed, but it can wait until tomorrow. It’s been a very long day. Let’s go home and we’ll all meet back here in the morning. Rangers, thanks for your help.” Serena said.
“Anytime. Call us if you need us again.” Jason said as he and Kat left.
“See you guys in the morning.” I said.
Andrew and I went home and changed for bed.
“You really had me worried today.” Andrew said as we got in bed.
“I know. Truthfully…when I saw Michelle I was pretty scared too. I’ve never seen anything like that before.” I said as I laid my head on his chest. He put his arm around me.
“I can’t lose you Lita.”
“I’ll do my best to make sure that doesn’t happen. We’ll finish off Mia and then we can finally give our wedding the attention it deserves.”
“Do you really think that will be anytime soon?”
I sighed, “If Mia is as desperate as I think she is, it’ll be very soon.”
